MORGAN EVANS

Morgan Evans (b.2000) is a Visual Artist based in Brighton, UK,

and Nicosia, Cyprus. Graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Art. Influenced by her own multicultural background her practice works as a ‘journal’ motivated by her surroundings. Her artwork critically comments on current social, political, and cultural issues by exploring topics, such as the status of marginalised women, the politics of representation, intersectional feminism, and gender roles.

She predominantly works with the ‘duality’ of these identities, by incorporating current trends with the appropriation of cultural tradition, while also interested in the relationship between self-acceptance and outside influences. She works with a variety of mediums and is known to create collage, mixed media, and print work with dreamlike landscapes as a ‘safe space’ to face these realities, ask challenging questions and have ‘uncomfortable’ conversations.
